I attended Youngstown State University where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in biology. During two summers of undergraduate studies, I was a research assistant at the University of Notre Dame's Environmental Research Center (UNDERC), located on the state boarder of Wisconsin and Michigan. This experience sparked my interest in forest ecology. I am now a PhD student at the University of Notre Dame where I continue to do research in forest ecology as a member of the Nathan G. Swenson laboratory.
